Dr. Catalin Popa is a distinguished Romanian academic and maritime professional with extensive experience in naval logistics and business. Since 1995, he has been an integral part of the Romanian Naval Academy, currently serving as Vice-Rector for International Programs and Associate Professor in logistics and maritime business. His career encompasses various administrative and academic roles, including financial officer, professor assistant, and associate professor. Notably, between 2001 and 2003, he served onboard Romanian Navy ships, and from 2004 to 2005, he was appointed to the OSCE Mission in Georgia. His leadership roles at the Naval Academy include Director for Education (2011-2013), Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Navigation and Naval Management (2013-2014), and Vice-Rector for International Programs (2016-present). Additionally, he has international teaching experience, having served as a professor at the Higher Colleges of Technology in the UAE (2013-2015).
