In 2001, he joined UNICEF Ethiopia as a Program Specialist, where he played a pivotal role in shaping HIV and AIDS programs, especially for adolescents and youh Since 2013, he has been serving as an Associate Professor at Addis Ababa University, focusing on behavioral healh. 
