Dr. Savu obtained his Engineer Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest in 1986. He later pursued a Master’s degree in Nanostructures and Unconventional Processes Engineering, which he completed in 2014. In the same year, he earned a Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences with a focus on Electronics and Telecommunications from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest. His academic background has provided him with a strong foundation in surface engineering, mathematical modeling, and nano-processing technologies.

Dr. Savu began his career in 1990 as an Electronics Engineer at the Research Design Institute of Electromechanics (ICPEM) in PloieČti, Romania, working on research and development for military applications. In 2000, he joined S.C. Elettra Communications S.A. as an Engineer, where he was responsible for testing and verifying telecommunications equipment for military use. Since 2005, he has been part of INOE 2000, leading the INDICO Laboratory, which specializes in optoelectronics and high-power electronic systems. His work includes developing innovative solutions for renewable energy applications and cosmic radiation detection.

Dr. Savu’s research focuses on neutrino detection, Cherenkov radiation, cosmic radiation, and electromagnetic phenomena. He has contributed to the optimization of Cherenkov cone detection in saline environments, improving methodologies for detecting cosmic radiation.
