Dr. Leonardo Brugiatelli is a cardiology fellow, PhD student, and attending cardiologist with advanced clinical and research expertise in contemporary cardiovascular medicine, currently affiliated with the Polytechnic University of the Marche and San Salvatore Hospital in Italy. Dr. Leonardo Brugiatelli has developed a strong academic and clinical profile through comprehensive training in biomedical sciences and cardiology, complemented by international certifications including the ESC Certification of Competence in Heart Failure and a Cambridge Advanced Certification (C2FR level). Throughout his professional experience, Dr. Leonardo Brugiatelli has worked across multiple high-intensity clinical environments, gaining extensive exposure to the management of common and complex cardiopathies, intensive cardiology care, and advanced cardiovascular diagnostics. His clinical competencies include electrocardiogram and Holter ECG interpretation, physical and cardiopulmonary exercise testing, point-of-care ultrasound, transthoracic and basic transesophageal echocardiography, advanced strain imaging, and programming of cardiac implantable electronic devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators. Dr. Leonardo Brugiatelli also possesses practical expertise in airway management, noninvasive ventilation, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, thoracentesis, central venous catheter placement, and advanced ICU-level patient support including Impella and intra-aortic balloon pump management, invasive ventilation, enteral nutrition, and continuous venovenous ultrafiltration.
