Dr. Philip Opoku Mensah is a dedicated academic and researcher with a profound commitment to enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee well-being. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Work, Employment, and Organisation at the University of Strathclyde, UK, while also holding a Ph.D. in Business and Management (Human Resource Management) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. Dr. Mensah’s academic journey reflects his dedication to continuous learning and excellence. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Management Education (First Class Honours) from the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana. He then pursued a Master of Philosophy in Management and Human Resource Strategy at KNUST, graduating with distinction. Furthering his expertise, he completed a Ph.D. in Business and Management (Human Resource Management) at KNUST and is currently undertaking another Ph.D. in Work, Employment, and Organisation at the University of Strathclyde, UK.

Dr. Mensah has amassed valuable experience in academia and research. From October 2022 to September 2024, he served as a Lecturer at the Department of Human Resource and Organizational Development, KNUST, where he was involved in teaching, supervising theses, and contributing to university committees. Prior to this, he was a Graduate Research Assistant at the same department from January 2019 to August 2022, assisting in research projects, data analysis, and student supervision. His academic career commenced as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the University of Education, Winneba, from September 2016 to August 2018.

Dr. Mensah’s research interests lie at the intersection of employment, well-being, innovation, and sustainability. He is passionate about exploring how human resource strategies can foster organizational innovation and employee well-being.
