Associate Professor| Arak University | Iran

Dr. Azadeh Kazemi is an accomplished Associate Professor whose research advances the fields of remote sensing, geospatial analysis, and environmental modelling with a strong interdisciplinary perspective. Her work integrates multispectral and hyperspectral imagery for water quality assessment, land use and land cover monitoring, and the detection of environmental pollution across diverse ecological systems. She specializes in spatiotemporal analysis of environmental dynamics, climate-change impact evaluation, and the development of GIS-based decision-support tools for natural resource management. A significant part of her scholarship focuses on the integration of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, UAVs, and CubeSat platforms, to enhance precision environmental monitoring and automated change-detection capabilities. Her scientific influence is reflected in her citation record, with 171 citations in total and 154 citations since 2020, along with an h-index of 7 (6 since 2020) and an i10-index of 4 (4 since 2020). She contributes to sustainable resource management research through studies on ecosystem service assessment, watershed management, environmental impact assessment methodologies, and strategies that support climate adaptation and mitigation. Her interests extend to socio-ecological interactions, urban environmental planning, and community-based approaches to natural resource governance. She has authored impactful publications on urban heat islands, ecological risk assessment, air and water quality modelling, soil salinity mapping, habitat analysis, industrial pollution, remote sensing optimization, and environmental health risk evaluations using probabilistic and machine-learning frameworks. Her wider contributions include research on green space distribution, heavy-metal contamination, renewable energy site selection, eco-tourism sustainability, and policy-support tools addressing complex environmental challenges. Through her extensive research output and innovative integration of technology, she continues to advance sustainable environmental management globally.
