Doctorate Supervision

Prof. Riheb Hadji’s research from 2015 to 2019 focused on analyzing landslide activity in relation to climatic conditions in the Souk Ahras region of Northeast Algeria. He then delved into the use of multi-band images and Geographic Information System (GIS) for estimating and mapping soil susceptibility to water erosion in semi-arid areas, with a case study of the Mellegue watershed. Subsequent studies involved discriminating geological and structural units of the Nememchas mountains using space technologies, and developing a methodology to support mining galleries in the Boukhadra underground mine. His ongoing PhD research explores mapping landslide risks in the Algerian-Tunisian border region, estimating and mapping water erosion and sediment transport in the Bousselam watershed, and conducting a multidimensional assessment of water erosion, sediment transport, and reservoir siltation in the Senegal River basin using Geomatics tools. 🏞️🌍

Teaching and Course Coordination

Prof. Riheb Hadji is a versatile educator, proficient in teaching various modules across Bachelor’s and Master’s levels. In the realm of Bachelor’s programs, he imparts knowledge in Soil Mechanics, Applied Mathematics, and Historical Geology and Paleogeography. 📚 Moving to Master’s programs, he delves into advanced topics such as GIS-based Multi-criteria analysis, Assisted Cartography and GIS, and Natural Hazards and Risks.
