Rudo Musango has pursued an extensive academic journey in agriculture and biodiversity conservation. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate specializing in Climate-Smart Agriculture and Biodiversity Conservation Management. She holds a Master’s degree in Biosafety in Plant Biotechnology from the University of Polytechnic Delle March and a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture with Honors in Horticulture from Women’s University in Africa. Additionally, she earned a Higher National Diploma in Horticulture and an Executive Certificate in Program and Project Monitoring and Evaluation from the University of Zimbabwe. Her educational background reflects her strong commitment to agricultural research and sustainability.

Rudo Musango has held key positions in agricultural research and development. From 2013 to 2017, she served as a Senior Research Officer at the Genetic Resource and Biotechnology Institute under the Ministry of Agriculture, where she played a pivotal role in plant genetic resource conservation. Prior to that, she worked as a Research Technician from 1999 to 2012, gaining extensive hands-on experience in field and laboratory research. Over the years, she has led several research projects, collaborated with international organizations, and trained farmers and technical staff on sustainable agricultural practices and genetic resource management.
